Grant Process

Our Focus

To support our mission, we invest in the following specific focus areas in Central Texas: education, affordable housing, and essential services.

What We Fund

Childcare: Ensuring that at-risk families have access to high-quality childcare.

Pre-K Education: Access to safe, quality, culturally competent, and affordable Pre-K education for low-income families.

Secondary Education: College and post-high school training for low-income students.

To and Through College: Mentoring programs for low-income middle and high-school and college aged students who represent the first generation in their families to pursue higher education.

Solutions that address temporary and affordable housing needs, particularly those that offer supportive services.

Includes housing, food, education, career, and other supportive services for homeless individuals.

How We Fund

The Shepherd 5 Points Foundation offers one-year general operating grants under $25,000 and multi-year grants exceeding $25,000 annually. We prioritize two to four-year grants and regular check-ins with our grant partners.

Grant Procedures

The Shepherd 5 Points Family Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. Nonprofits and prospective partners may submit a brief description of their work and an explanation as to how it aligns with our focus areas through our grant contact form below located to the right. If selected, we will request an introductory call, then provide an application and schedule a site visit if we believe there is a mission-aligned fit.

Please note that not all inquiries will receive a reply due to limited capacity.
